The Opportunity

The purpose of the Harvest III Project is to promote diversification within Cambodia's agricultural sector through targeted private sector partnerships that have the potential to link with new markets, create jobs for Cambodians, and improve livelihoods.

As the Partnership Manager for Finance and Investment, you will serve as a member of the project's senior leadership team. Your key responsibilities will include supporting the Chief of Party in defining the project's overall technical approach and implementing an integrated set of activities to achieve project goals. You will Lead the project's work to increase private sector investment that will strengthen competitive, climate-smart and resilient agriculture market systems. You will report to the Chief of Party (COP).

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the COP in defining the project's overall technical approach, drafting annual work plans, and implementing an integrated set of activities to achieve project goals.

  • Lead the project's work to increase private sector investment that will strengthen competitive, climate-smart and resilient agriculture market systems.

  • Identify opportunities for investment that will contribute to a more competitive and resilient agriculture sector and attract institutional and individual investors interested in making such investments.

  • Provide leadership in establishing industry partnerships that create collaboration between financial investors, generate blended finance opportunities, and establish service standards for financial service providers.

  • Advise grantees/companies in preparing financial documents including financial statements, account statements and reporting to meet investors and financial institutions’ requirements.

  • Advise grantees/companies in preparing business plan/investment plan, pitch deck and investor deck.

  • Coach or advise grantee/companies on finance and investment readiness.

  • Develop materials to help increase potential investors' understanding of investment opportunities; conduct events and outreach to reach investors; and support investors' efforts to explore and complete the investment.

  • Identify financial institutions with the potential to expand their agricultural lending, especially for agricultural processing and export, and develop partnerships with these institutions to develop or expand programs for these purposes.

  • Contribute to the design of project initiatives to improve borrowers' financial management and demonstrate creditworthiness.

  • Collaborate with the project's M&E staff to collect and analyze data for monitoring, learning, and reporting.

  • Ensure that the activities and results are implemented in a timely manner within the approved budget.

  • Foster a culture of achievement, innovation, and adaptability on the team and among partners.

What We Value

  • Bachelor’s Degree + Twelve years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree + Ten years of relevant experience, or PhD+ Eight years of relevant experience

  • Advanced degree in agribusiness, business administration, or similar field.

  • At least eight years of professional experience.

  • At least three years of progressively responsible management experience in finance or investment, preferably agriculture related.

  • Experience working in, or closely with, a major Cambodian financial institution.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and independently.

  • Supervisory experience.

  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • English language fluency.
